As title, is there any open hardware platform about TV even LCD display in the near future? I was thinking this couple months ago...now the answer is EXSITING.
I hate taiwanese style on developing style since i touched open conceipts from Openmoko. Now it became past gone anymore...If you surf hard a little bit on google....you can find tons of these conceipts growing fast into a unbelievable scenario...as my points are there's nothing about secret on techs....the more you are holding techs you think the more you are losing...try to remember our chinese ancient pioneer 韓愈 : 聞道有先後, 術業有專攻..... thus "one might have learned the doctrine earlier than the other, or might be a master in his own special field."

Through it, you can know what he is moving...and all about video knowledges....so one day we can think that NO more SONY LCD TV....or else....etc....they are trying to open the whole SOC what they're design ......are they stupid?...NO....if linux world didn't have like such those crazy enthusiast. We can not fight Microsoft..... Hope he can totally public open.
I am not meaning that Microsoft is not good, I am trying to say any business or company their techs or knowledges actually coming from _nature_. They are not belonged to whom...
I am willing to see I can/may even hold a LCD TV display in the future then I can change its contents with easy. Even those contents are coming from any open / great programs and can switch channel what i like or dislike. This world is always exsiting two kinds of streams...One is egoistic, the other is altruistic.
